Collective Collaboration for our vulnerable
The Port Hedland RSL Sub Branch is pleased to support Yaandina Community Services, a well-established community provider with over 30 years’ experience delivering essential services across the region.
Based on Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi Country, Yaandina is deeply embedded in the communities it serves, with local staff who have a vested interest in the community that they live in. Their services span home care, residential care, youth and family support in Roebourne, and alcohol and other drug (AOD) services at Turner River. The majority of client mob receiving community care services and support are traditional elders and locals from Roebourne, Point Samson, Wickham and Karratha, and more recently Hedland.
With limited service availability in Hedland, Yaandina recently expanded its reach to support additional community members. On Monday, the Port Hedland RSL Sub Branch proudly provided a welcoming and safe space for Yaandina to onboard new clients locally, ensuring improved access to vital support services.
Yaandina staff expressed their appreciation, acknowledging the collective collaboration and support provided by the RSL and President Tim Clarke in facilitating this important initiative to assist vulnerable members of the community.
A note to all veterans, Veteran Affairs can assist and provide support in aged and community care, and Yaandina is another local option for you.
